These terms govern your use of PetNect and outline the rights and responsibilities of all users in our pet care community.

1. Definitions

Key terms used throughout these Terms

In these Terms:

"Platform" means the PetNect website, mobile applications, and related services.
"Pet Owner" means a user who seeks pet care services through the Platform.
"Pet Professional" means a user who offers pet care services through the Platform.
"Services" means pet care services offered by Pet Professionals, including but not limited to pet sitting, dog walking, grooming, training, and veterinary services.
"Booking" means an arrangement for Services made through the Platform.
"Content" means any information, text, graphics, photos, videos, or other materials uploaded, posted, or transmitted through the Platform.

2. Agreement to Terms

Your acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using PetNect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our Platform.

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services.

3. Account Registration and Security

Your responsibilities for account management

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information updated.
Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and take responsibility for all activities under your account.
Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in termination.

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts in our sole discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

What's allowed and what's not on our Platform

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or these Terms
Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state your affiliation with anyone
Post or transmit harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or discriminatory content
Upload or distribute viruses, malware, or any harmful code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform without permission
Spam, solicit, or send unsolicited communications to other users
Use the Platform for commercial purposes other than legitimate pet care services

5. Pet Care Services

Marketplace relationships

• PetNect is a marketplace connecting Pet Owners with Pet Professionals

• Pet Professionals are independent contractors, not employees

• All service agreements are between users, not with PetNect

• Professionals must have appropriate licenses and insurance

6. Bookings & Payments

Transaction processing

• Payments processed through secure payment system

• Rates set by Pet Professionals

• Cancellation policies set by professionals

7. Content & Intellectual Property

Your content rights

• You retain ownership of content you submit

• You grant us license to use content for platform operations

• PetNect owns platform intellectual property

• Don't infringe on others' rights

12. Safety & Insurance

Protecting pets and users

• Pet Professionals should maintain insurance coverage

• Meet in person before first booking recommended

• Report safety concerns immediately

• PetNect not responsible for incidents during services

13. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We don't guarantee user conduct, qualifications, or service quality.

14. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to amounts you've paid to PetNect in the preceding 12 months. We're not liable for indirect damages.

16. Dispute Resolution

Try resolving disputes directly first, then through our support. Unresolved disputes go to binding arbitration.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by U.S. federal law and the laws of the state where PetNect is incorporated.

15. Indemnification

You agree to protect PetNect from claims arising from your use of the Platform, violations of these Terms, or infringement of others' rights.

18. Changes to Terms

How we handle updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will:
